Stern & Wild client's true crime doc in the running for Broadcast Award
Huge congratulations to Stern & Wild filmmaker Jasleen Kaur Sethi, Director and Producer of the true crime docuseries The Flight Attendant Murders which has been shortlisted for a 2025 Broadcast Award for International Programme Sales.
The four-part series re-examines the murders of four flight attendants in Texas in the 1970s and 1980s, who were all employed by the same airline and whose killings shared significant similarities. While Jonathan Reed, a convicted rapist, was found guilty of the initial murder, the three subsequent killings occurred while he was incarcerated. The series reassesses the available evidence and traces the timeline of each case to ask if they are individual crimes or could potentially be linked. And, therefore, if Reed is innocent of the first murder.
It was produced by Flicker Productions for Channel 4 and the US streamer Sundance Now and is distributed by BossaNova Media. It first aired in the UK on Channel 4 in October 2023 and is available to watch on catch-up here. Winners of the Broadcast Awards will be announced on 5 February next year at a ceremony at Grosvenor House in London. For a full list of shortlisted productions, click here.
