Christopher studied Fine Art and History at Reading University and has exhibited his oil paintings worldwide, including the National Portrait Gallery and Art Basel.

After a decade in the studio, Chris began to make documentary films; in 2011, he wrote and directed the phenomenally successful 'Wonders of the Solar System' and was lead director and producer on 'Wonders of the Universe'; the two series catapulted Prof Brian Cox to stardom and got the whole nation talking about space. Christopher was BAFTA nominated 'Best Director' for his work, and the series went on to be nominated for three more BAFTAs, including Best Documentary Series and two RTS awards. In 2011, he was awarded the highly prestigious Peabody Award for Documentary Excellence.

Since leaving the BBC, Christopher has made films for every major broadcaster in the UK and US, including Netflix, Discovery, Amazon, National Geographic, Channel 4, CNN, NBC, ITV and Channel 5. Ryan Murphy celebrated his film 'Dahmer – Mind of a Monster' as the best documentary about the serial killer to date.

Christopher now splits his time between scripted and unscripted filmmaking. In 2019, Christopher wrote and directed the film '3 Sleeps'. The film was selected and won over 50 BAFTA and Oscar qualifying festivals worldwide and was BAFTA shortlisted 'Best Film'.

His scripted drama-documentary, 'Elizabeth – The Golden Era' starring Lily Cole as the QE1, was nominated 'Best Drama' in the UK's National TV awards. In 2023, he originated and wrote a 6x1hr thriller series "Crocodile", which was optioned by Eleventh Hour Films (The Killing Kind, Magpie Murders) and scripts commissioned by BBC Studios, and 'Jackpot' a 6x1hr drama optioned by Free Turn Films (William Tell).

Chris wrote and directed the 2023 Netflix smash hit feature documentary 'The Devil on Trial', an investigation into the truth behind the infamous Devil Made Me Do It' murder trial and the exorcism of David Glatzel in Brookfield, Connecticut, in 1989. His films are critically acclaimed for their powerful storytelling and bold cinematic ambition.

Well-versed in directing globally recognised talent, Chris has worked with the likes of Venus and Serena Williams, Naomi Campbell, Wayne Rooney, Magic Johnson, Lily Cole and Eric Cantona.

He still paints. Sometimes.
