Far-right exposé pulled by London Film Festival to air on C4 tonight

A consequential new documentary from Stern & Wild filmmaker Havana Marking which investigates the growing influence of the Far Right in the UK will air on Channel 4 at 10:00pm tonight. Undercover: Exposing the Far Right has already hit the headlines following a decision by the London Film Festival to cancel its planned premiere on Saturday over safety concerns.

The 90-minute doc follows investigators from the anti-racism campaign Hope Not Hate as they go undercover to reveal how far-right groups in the UK are planning demonstrations and intimidation campaigns to target minority communities. It looks at how well-funded social media influencers are being used to disseminate racist material to new audiences and reveals the links between a leading British far-right activist and a US multimillionaire. It is produced by Marking Films Inc and Tigerlily Productions in association with the BFI Doc Society Fund, HiddenLight, Channel 4 and Doc Society.

Hope Not Hate was able to secure an alternative premiere for the film over the weekend, which was hosted by journalist and broadcaster Sangita Myska. To read more about the film, click here. To watch the trailer, click here.
