Three projects from Stern & Wild filmmakers in the running for this year’s RTS Programme Awards
Congratulations to Stern & Wild clients Havana Marking, Miles Blayden-Ryall, Toby Trackman and Chris Wilson whose recent projects have been nominated for this year’s RTS Programme Awards.
Havana directed, filmed and produced the 90-min Undercover: Exposing the Far Right which is nominated in the Single Documentary category. Described by the Guardian in October 2024 as “the bravest documentary of the year so far”, the film follows investigators from the anti-racism campaign Hope Not Hate as they go undercover to reveal the racist ideology and media-savvy tactics of the modern far right. It is produced by Marking Films Inc and Tigerlily Productions in association with the BFI Doc Society Fund, HiddenLight, Channel 4 and the Doc Society.

Miles directed, filmed and edited the feature documentary Silverback, which is nominated in the Science & The Natural World category. A recent Grierson Award winner, the film follows wildlife cameraman Vianet Djenguet as he joins the effort to protect the critically endangered eastern lowland gorillas of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is an Off the Fence and France Télévisions production for the BBC in association with Featuristic Films.

Toby and Chris were part of the production team on the Disney+ docuseries Camden, which is nominated in the Arts category. The four-part series explores how the lives and careers of some of music’s biggest stars were influenced by the London borough. It was exec produced by singer/songwriter Dua Lipa and is a Lightbox production in association with Day One Pictures, the production company founded by Amy Winehouse’s original manager Nick Shymansky, and Lipa’s Radical22. Toby is Director of several of the series episodes and Chris is the Editor.
